Hampton Speed Skating Club is preparing for the 2025 Hampton Competition on 22 February.

This year, we look forward to seeing new and returning skaters. The following groups are open for registration for skating at the Hampton Community Centre:

  • Learn-to-skate (new skaters that will learn the basics of skating) Mondays 5:15 to 5:45. At the Hampton Community Centre.
  • Group 3 – (skaters moving comfortable on the ice but want to improve their skills) Mondays 5:15 to 6:15. At the Hampton Community Centre.
  • Group 1 & 2 – (skaters who want to go fast in the competitive stream and for recreation) Mondays 6:00 to 7:30 and Thursdays 5:15 to 6:45.

Questions about equipment please email the club. Speed skates are available for rental.

For protection, all skaters need: skates, a helmet, knee pads and cut proof (or non- knit) handwear. Optional equipment for safety are elbow pads, clear eye protection, shin pads and a bib-style neck-guard.

Group 1 & 2 skaters also need shin pads, eye protection, a bib-style neck-guard and optional cut-proof undersuit.

Registration will be open soon. Come out and try speed skating until registration is open.
